We, the undersigned companies are committed to internationally recognized human rights, including the right to freedom from forced labor, as established by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and International Labour Organization (ILO) Conventions No. 29 and No. 105, for all people worldwide. We are aware of reports documenting the systemic use of child and adult forced labor in the production of cotton in Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. We are collaborating with a multi-stakeholder coalition to raise awareness of this very serious concern, and press for its elimination.
As a signatory to this commitment, we are stating our firm opposition to the use of child and adult forced labor. We commit to not contribute financially or in-kind to the government of Uzbekistan, government of Turkmenistan or any other entity involved in the two countries' cotton sectors while state-led forced labor persists in them. Until the elimination of forced labor is independently verified by the ILO, we will maintain this commitment.
