Videos: Forced Labor in Turkmenistan's Cotton Sector

Day of Action Against Forced Labor in Turkmenistan’s Cotton Industry.
Protest on October 1st in New York City during the United Nations General Assembly attended by the Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow. Turkmenistan continues to force teachers, doctors, nurses, and government employees to pick cotton during harvest season. On top of this children are still being forced to participate in the cotton industry. Please sign the petition to free Gaspar Matalaev and share it with your network.

Ruslan Myatiev,
Alternative Turkmenistan News editor, delivered a statement to the United Nations Human Rights Council
during the adoption of the
Universal Periodic Review (UPR) outcome of Turkmenistan.
